The Founders' Circle

The Founders’ Circle is the recognition program by which ACUMS honors those members whose distinctive contributions, outstanding service, and long-term dedication have made a significant impact in furthering the mission of ACUMS.

When the Founders' Circle Award began in the early 90's it was named it after the remaining five members who were still in ACUMS since its founding. They were also the Circle’s first inductees.

The selection process, which takes place about once a year, has recently been modified. Written nominations are now submitted to the Founders’ Circle Selection Committee (FCSC) which chooses the inductee. The FCSC is formed at the Spring conference, conducts the process over the summer, and announces the winner, if there is one, at the Fall conference. If willing, the immediate past President of ACUMS chairs this committee.
